Automating cattle counting with AI and drones
By automating the process of cattle counting, this innovative approach improves accuracy, efficiency, and real-time monitoring, reducing the need for manual labor and minimizing errors. The integration of AI with aerial drone imagery ensures precise livestock tracking, offering a scalable solution that enhances operational productivity in the agricultural sector.

Farm Automation Project
Our farm automation project focuses on addressing the critical shortage and high cost of agricultural workers in rural America by embracing cutting-edge automation technologies. As young Americans leave small towns and traditional farming practices, we see an opportunity to revolutionize agriculture by integrating advanced solutions like automated cow milking stations, mini-robots for weeding, and drones for precise crop management. These technologies not only reduce the time and resources required for traditional farm tasks but also position modern farming as a field where technical skills and innovation are paramount.

Drones automate the process of cattle-counting while also reducing errors.
Our research has led us to focus on how drones can enhance the efficiency of cattle operations on our family farm. After discovering an Israeli startup that uses drones for cattle herding and monitoring, we purchased two drones and have begun testing various automated processes on our ranch. This innovative approach reduced cattle counting errors and opened the door to real-time, accurate herd monitoring. Our hope is to help introduce this technology more deeply into the United States.
